Together, We Are Transforming the World of Work.

Our vision: At Scrum Alliance, we envision a world where an agile way of working is so universal, it's simply called working.

Our mission: To advance real-world agility that goes far beyond a test or a badge by equipping and inspiring the changemaker in everyone.

Since 2001, we have supported the agile movement as the only member-driven nonprofit certifying body in the agile space. As a trade association, we were founded and funded by the community for the community, a privilege we take seriously. We continue to nurture the agile movement by providing education, advocacy, research, community and connection.

Our Team

Each sprint (every two weeks), we collaborate in self-organizing, cross-functional teams to equip our members with what they need to get the job and to get the job done.

Everything we deliver is intended to advance real world agility that goes far beyond a test or a badge—to inspire and equip the changemaker in everyone, from those who are are just beginning their learning journey to those guiding others in understanding and applying agile and Scrum.

Our Values

We believe in and are guided by the agile principles and values. Here's what the Scrum values mean to us and how they guide our work.

courage

We are willing to say no, to ask for help, and to try things. We question the status quo and challenge with compassion. We are strong enough to adapt to shifting priorities and brave enough to celebrate when things go differently than planned. We speak with candor and clarity because it's kind.

focus

To meet our goals and delight the community, we finish what we start and take on limited projects. We are fixated on delivering value, not on a to-do list. While our specific plans will evolve, we are relentless about enabling the community to succeed because they are the center of our work.

openness

We always have more to learn so we consistently seek new ideas. We are transparent about our individual and collective areas of opportunity, and are willing to seek out feedback from our teammates. We continually demonstrate our work, and know that doing so is a competitive advantage.

respect

We honor the voices, skills, and contributions of others. We recognize that we are better and stronger because of our diverse backgrounds and experiences. We treat one another as whole, creative, and purposeful beings with positive intent. We add to the ideas of others as we listen, share, and encourage.

commitment

We are all in for our teammates, our community, and the change we wish to see in the world. We follow up and follow through, which means we're careful about what we say yes to. We know that it is ok to disagree with one another—but when we do, we discuss it privately; in public, we speak with one voice.

Our Home

While we serve a global community, our primary home is in the U.S. state of Colorado.

Our office home has an "open door" policy. In normal times, we welcome you to stop by anytime. Right now, our office is closed due to COVID-19.
