Scrum practitioners of New York!
Please join us for the April meeting of the NYC Scrum User Group on Tuesday, April 10th at Euro RSCG! (Select April 19th in the drop down on the registration site - we're making an exception to our third Thursday routine and meeting on the 10th this month.)
Time: 6:00 - 8:00pm
Place: Euro RSCG, 350 Hudson Street, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10014
Agenda:
6:00 - 6:30pm - Pizza and networking
6:30 - 8:00pm - Intro to Business Value Engineering with Joe Little of LeanAgileTraining.com
BV Engineering is a framework for helping the Product Owner and the firm deliver continuously increasing business value. The framework is based on Lean and Scrum ideas. The framework deals with these basic questions: what is value, how do we identify it specifically, what are the requirements, how do we deliver the product, and how do we know we succeeded. By making the process and the underlying ideas (hypotheses) more visible, we are able to continuously improve. It involves some other basic ideas as well. More specifically, it allows a small team to look at the multitude of old and new ideas about Business Value, and decide which ones to implement or improve on today. Joe Little also leads workshops on BV Engineering. This talk is just an introduction. It is our contention that there is more to improve in BV Engineering than "within" the Scrum team.

The NYC Scrum User Group [usually] meets on the third Thursday of every month to talk about Scrum, to share experiences, to network, and to provide support for local Scrum practitioners.
