Getting Started with Scrum: A Roadmap for Success

Whether you're an individual ready to embark on the journey to becoming a Scrum professional or a corporate executive ready for your project management team to use Scrum methodologies, the journey begins with a foundation-level course where hands-on training and workshops will give you the jumpstart you need to transform the world of work.

I want to become a Scrum professional

Begin by signing up for one of our career-building Scrum Alliance certification programs. They bridge the gap between Scrum theory and applicable practice while training you on how to develop the best Agile practices for your work environment. Our trainers will teach you what you need to know to fill the role of ScrumMaster or Certified Scrum Product Owner, then you can continue your journey on an assortment of certification paths to eventually become a Certified Scrum Coach or Trainer.

We want to use Scrum in our workplace

  • Certified Scrum Coaches (CSCs) are experts in Scrum, both in theory and in practice. They have an in-depth understanding of the practices and principles of Scrum and have real experience on actual Scrum projects. As such, Certified Scrum Coaches play a vital role within the Scrum Alliance, bringing Scrum out of the classroom and into your world of work. A coach guides you in learning the new team patterns for increased collaboration and high performance that Scrum requires. A Certified Scrum Coach understands how Scrum impacts leadership and team member responsibilities. Sweeping organizational change doesn't happen overnight and it doesn't come without work. A coach can help make it easier.
  • Certified Scrum Trainers play a vital role within the Scrum Alliance. CSTs are licensed to teach CSM and CSPO courses within your workplace environment. Stringent certification requirements are imposed on perspective CSTs to make certain that only those who are qualified to meet this commitment are entrusted to engage in this role on behalf of the Scrum Alliance.
  • The Scrum Alliance developed a program for instructors and training organizations that offer certification and non-certification courses pertinent to agile and Scrum professionals. The Scrum Alliance Registered Education Provider (REP) program provides organizations affiliation with and endorsement by the Scrum Alliance. It also gives these organizations access to course advertisement services on the Scrum Alliance website.
