I came to the company as first certified scrum master with the initial idea of running game development projects according to scrum. In the projects I was responsible for, I was able to use some elements and components of scrum in the planning, tracking of project progress, as well as in the implementation by the teams. Very helpful and accepted by the higher management were the typical scrum burn down statistics and other scrum project controlling and reporting methods. I also was involved in the organisation and implementation of the smooth move of the entire comapany to a bigger location in the centre of Hamburg.

The Institute Director and I worked together on some very huge funding application to the Helmholtz Organisation in the order of tens of millions of Euro and tens of partners from all over Germany. The application involved a great effort of handling all the data of the many complex research topics and teams. I also was responsible for editing in chief and designing a new internet presence for the materials research instute, integrating inputs and texts and images from various departments. Further, I helped organise and implement several bigger research conferences at the location of the instute, and also helped a head of department with carrying out a market study for a service company in innovative welding for ship yards and other applications. Lastly, I helped the department head manage a research project, as his right hand in organising meetings and editing reports, minutes and other texts.

The company MEC was founded in 1989 by my father Dr. Ingo Hussla and specialised in consulting European Consortia in High Tech fields on how to obtain European funding for Research. Successful applications were supported with a menu of management services. I joined the company in January 1999 and with time was independently working on funding applications for clients in diverse fields of technology. An example of a successful poject application that I contributed to with expertise of European Policy and Rules of Participation was the eBIOSENSE Project coordinated by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. For this project, I also heped organise meetings and edited reports for the European Commission in the first year of the project. Other references can be given on demand.
