Tye Hill
Graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Chemical Engineering, I started my career working in the oil and gas fields in south Texas. After doing some data analysis and pipeline engineering I decided to move to Virginia where I joined a project management and project analysis consulting firm. During the next two years I became an expert of project management practices and consulted with many of the top Fortune 500 companies on their large industrial projects. I offered them an analysis of their plan, recommended best practices, and a statistical evaluation of the schedule and budget to determine if their expectations are realistic.
Following that I moved into the technology space and began working on SaaS implementations of Salesforce.com where my teams were creating and editing custom applications built on the force.com platform. I spent three years as a business analyst, software developer, and support consultant. While working for that consulting firm I began to familiarize myself with Agile software development and Scrum and I saw that the old traditional model of software development that we used was killing our projects and our productivity. After failing to convince senior management to adopt an Agile methodology I began looking for a new gig with a company that is competent with and a practitioner of Agile methodologies.
LMN Solutions brought me on to be an Agile and Scrum Process Manager with the intent for me to eventually lead up their Agile Practice. I have been a strong advocate for Agile practices and processes ever since and have been working with our customers to provide mission-critical software solutions using Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
