Xerox is in the process of transforming itself using both Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency in our development processes.  For software, Lean principles, Agile techniques, and Scrum project management are central to this process.  Six Sigma disciplines are being used to focus and monitor where the effort is applied and to integrate our systems development with our hardware developers.  As a manager in the Design for Lean Six Sigma program, my role is to help develop the curriculum in conjunction with our development teams and coach teams as they begin the journey using Lean and Scrum.
