At start worked in the processes of Treasury in the UNMSM San Marcos University. After that, I focused on systems for support and management User for our Web Applications.
After being in the Development world, I focus on the administration of the databases specializing in Oracle databases, and assuming the role of DBA .
Parallel to my work at San Marcos University, I work at ASMUTIOMAR, an insurance company for the Navy of Peru, my goal here was to redesign the database for later migration of Database and Applications.
Later That I worked for a few months by a consultant for a project called Topcert Design implementation of a Datamart for ESSALUD, again in parallel to my BDA rol at UNMSM. In ESSALUD can see the problems and weaknesses common to my other work environments.
Slow processes, bureaucratization, distrust in sharing information and knowledge, and especially the low participation of users.
Maybe it was magnified to do these things, which made me look agile methodologies and certified as CSD.
From a couple of months ago we implemented SCRUM in my office in San Marcos University, with good results although the developers are not yet fully accustomed to practices such as Pair Programing, the proposal was well accepted by users when they heard one of the statements of agile Manifesto: Software running on documentation, this really made them to look with new eyes the new proposal.
Although we are accustomed and looking our best way to work, we are better than before, maybe even we could implement our process KANBAN to experiment a little, this is my experience and I hope soon to have agile accommodate even the most traditional companies.
