Provides a critical role as an advisor to the Deputy Director, Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (the Center) and to the Division Chief, Chronic Disease and Injury Control (CDIC) in the creation and organization of statistics and health data that will be used to address the Social Determinants of Health related to obesity and chronic disease outcomes. Works across the CDPH Centers and their programs in vocalizing their business needs in reference to the web and GIS technologies and services offered within CDPH. Identifies opportunities for the GIS IT support process improvement and training for CDPH employees. Supervises technical staff to conceptualize, test, build and implement new GIS web applications for CDPH by guiding programming staff in the complete software development lifecycle.
