Engineering Analysis and HV testing to support different New Product Initiation (NPI) and product optimization. The scope was also to setup a High Voltage testing setup (using Hipotrinics AC & impulse test setup). State of the art tools use (like ANSYS, Saber, MatLab, Magnet) for engineering analysis (numerical) and test setup (like Power frequency HV test, Partial Discharge, Oil Breakdown tester, Insulation Loss analyzer etc). The responsibility includes technical evaluation, helping the NPI initiative, development of combine insulation for HV application, coming up with new quenching technique for electrical arc, fault simulation, Six Sigma initiative & HV testing for critical component.

Worked as Sr. Engineer for the development on solution framework for HV Circuit Breaker, based on the finite element analysis. This helps the business on optimization of several components of HV products manufactured by ABB. Some of the major works are Design of 145kV SF6 high voltage circuit breaker, Failure analysis of high voltage circuit breaker, Optimization of arc chamber of circuit breaker with the help of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Development of high impulse current test set-up for Lightning arrester testing.
