Wouter Tengeler

I Finished my bachelor in software engineering (HTS Den haag) in 1993 and started to work with a small software company. I grew within the company from programmer to project lead to team lead. When the company was taken over I moved to the Dutch television company Endemol. I was a team lead there for two years after which I started my own company The Motion Studio multimedia productions in 2003.

During the last 8 years I have written software (C++, Java and PHP) and coached teams to write better code and do better project management. The last 5 years I have focussed on PHP. I have been training experienced programmers how to write Object Oriented code in PHP in the Masterclass PHP that I deviced. In the Advanced Masterclass PHP I trained Unit testing, Agile project management (XP) and Zend Framework. Since two years I have been working with Scrum and I have been implementing Scrum within companies that asked for my consultation.

I have written three books about professional software engineering in PHP. (PHP5 Superboek - 2004, Het complete boek PHP 5 - 2008, Leer jezelf Zend Framework - 2010, Het complete boek PHP 5.3 - 2011). I am planning on writing a book about Unit testing with PHPUnit this year or next year.
