John Marx began as a systems operator on Burroughs Mainframes in 1979. Soon he learned COBOL programming and then advanced to learn Assembler, Basic, C, C++, Paschal, PHP and Java.

John began his career in Consulting with General Electric Consulting in 1986. From there he left to found the Open Systems Group, a Consulting firm he grew to over 60 consultants and $6 million in sales. John has been a principal in Para-Docs, Dayspring Systems, and currently works as a Senior Consultant and Service Delivery Manager with Red Hat, Inc.

John has been a Scrum Coach for over two years and is engaged with large multi-national corporations implementing Agile and Scrum at the Enterprise Level. John is a Certified Scrum Master and pursuing CSP and CSC certifications.
