Dennis Britton
Dennis has nearly two decades in software development including requirements elicitation, technical writing, test leadership, test development and code reviewing. After years of witnessing the huge waste typical of many software development projects, he was eager to find better methods. Since taking the ScrumMaster course from Ken Schwaber in Spring 2004 he has been practicing, training, coaching, and facilitating lean and agile ways. The Poppendieck’s Concept to Cash course and other sources of Lean/Kanban wisdom has influenced his perspective on integrating and adopting these practices. In 2006 he spent a year at HP as an agile coach, transitioning a 50 person distributed team towards more agile and lean practices resulting in greater fidelity with marketing, greater collaboration, higher morale and an on-time, on-budget result. He has continued to work in agile and lean consulting roles with government and large retail clients.
Facilitating the emergence of value-enhancing teams and business systems while enabling a higher quality of life makes him smile.
