Client: NCI CBIIT (caBIG)     Role: Program Manager

Technical PM responsible for requirement, analysis and development of the next-generation translational research platform (caIntegrator) to integrate clinical, array (gene expression, SNP etc), image annotations and various other data source, query and to analyze using visualization tools (like GenePattern). Worked with the Product Manager to scope the vision, build the team and managed development.

  Project Manager for various cancer study data portals (brain tumor, breast cancer etc) managing multiple releases in a matrix, resource sharing, environment. Data manager accountable for data acquisition, pre-processing, loading, validation and customer satisfaction.  

 Project Manager for Integrative Cancer Research (ICR) community workspace within caBIG program for several life-science products. Managed customer requirements, tool adoption programs and user expectations. Helped with identifying, processing and granting of work for NCI supported cancer centers. Directed open source development for the tool adoption program.

Celera Genomics, Rockville, MD, 2001 – 2006      Sr. Software Engineer II/Project Lead

Managed cross functional team of managers, scientists, technologists and programmers in successfully procuring, customizing, implementing and training of the Enterprise Document Management System for pre-clinical studies and IND filing.  

Managed software team for conducting the requirement analysis, design, development, testing and support for LIMS (Lab Information Management System) for proteomics and genomics lab. Worked with multiple departments (Cell Biology, protein chemistry, Mass Spec) to reach consensus and successful implementation.

Lead Database Architect for various informatics solutions including Biomarker application for curating and analyzing gene expression data measured with real-time PCR, designing a data warehouse and ETL process for downstream data analysis from the LAB generated data.
