Scott Duncan has been involved in software engineering, quality assurance, process improvement, methods, standards, metrics, training and consulting since 1972. His involvement with agile methods began in 2002. Prior to that he worked in traditional development projects (from 2 to 250+ people). Scott worked 14 years at Bell Labs/Bellcore, 7 years in credit card transaction processing, 4.5 years in commercial (mainframe) software development, plus shorter periods (1-3 years) in publishing, state government, and agricultural products. Since 2005 he has been doing consulting/training full-time. He has been a speaker at dozens of conferences and companies over the years both in the USA and Europe. He has also been a US representative to ISO/IEC SC7/JTC1 standards work as well as being on the IEEE System and Software Standards Committee. Besides being a CSP, Scott has held ASQ's CSQE certification and has been trained as an ISO 9001 TickIT auditor and in both the CMM(R) and CMMI(R).
