I am the Scrum Master for four teams inside the software development department. I am responsible for supporting each team and product owner in maximising value while helping them simultaneously to develop practices and infrastructure to sustain the growth of the company. I support team members who wish to introduce many kinds of XP practice such as TDD, code reviews, continuous integration etc. and I support each product owner in developing their product backlogs and in sprint planning. I have introduced practices such as retrospectives to the benefit of team. I have promoted the principles of Agile to management and extended Agile through the rest of the organization.

I developed software for motion control and gesture recognition using 3D cameras. I developed a 3D visualization application that allows users and developers to inspect the model of a human body as interpreted by our vision software. I participated in daily stand-up meetings, demos, planning meetings and retrospectives as part of a Scrum team. I contributed to the implementation of Scrum inside the software development team by drawing on my previous work experience and CSM training.

In this position, I worked as part of a team developing software for in-car infotainment systems. I was responsible as a developer and an architect for developing a service-based application framework in C++ that ran on systems from Windows PC, QNX and embedded Linux on ARM. The service architecture was such that it allowed application developers to build applications in C++ and have them run in multiple platforms communicating transparently using different network protocols (HTTP, XMPP) or inter-process communication protocols (D-Bus on Linux). It was in this role that I was first exposed to Scrum and, for my part, I helped introduced practices such as TDD, coding standards and code reviews.
