Denver, CO,—SCRUM ALLIANCE®, the largest, most established and influential professional membership organization and certifying body in the Agile community, announced the first 50 participants have successfully completed Scaling Scrum Fundamentals, the first course offered in the new Added Qualifications program. Scrum Alliance launched its Added Qualifications Program in February of this year to its community of more than 400,000 members globally.

“We are very excited to see this new course take off so well in just the past few months.  We listened to our community and delivered the course they told us they were most interested in taking first,” said Scrum Alliance CEO Manny Gonzalez.

Added Qualifications is a certificate-based training program offered to cover valuable, complex, business-critical topics. The first courses covering Scaling Scrum Fundamentals were held in various locations in the U.S. and abroad. Additional courses are being held each month, both domestically and internationally.  The next Added Qualifications course will be Agile Leadership offered sometime in 2016.

“This new Added Qualifications program aligns with what our community wants,” Gonzalez said.  “The result is an opportunity for members to learn more about advanced Scrum topics.  Scaling Scrum Fundamentals is just the first in a long line of Added Qualifications courses to come from Scrum Alliance.”

Scrum Alliance is committed to helping Scrum professionals add more depth to their Scrum experience and be more competitive in the ever-adapting Agile work environment. Read more details regarding the Scrum Alliance Added Qualifications program.

Gonzalez said, “Our mission is to transform the world of work by guiding organizations to become prosperous and sustainable, to inspire people, and to create value for society. We believe in order to achieve our mission, we must build a community of certified Scrum practitioners eager to enhance their knowledge. This Added Qualifications program is the next step in our evolution to deliver on that mission.”
