DENVER — Feb. 28, 2024 — Jennifer Davis offers a trio of unique experiences in her new role as a Scrum Alliance board member: she’s an accomplished lawyer who has worked with agile coaches and also holds a computer engineering degree. Scrum Alliance focuses on serving a global community with a mission to advance real-world agility; Davis is especially eager to support its renewed commitment to attract new members and offer more training, education, products, and enterprise agile solutions.

Davis says, “Scrum Alliance CEO Tristan Boutros has the right strategy by offering outcomes with enterprises — Scrum Alliance is poised to be the industry leader in enterprise agile solutions, which I know from my experience is needed in this ever-changing economy. I also bring a diverse perspective to my role and offer alternative ways of looking at matters from those who traditionally sit on boards. All of us have lived experiences that are valuable for discussing issues that others may not have considered.” Davis is serving as board secretary and nominating committee chair.

Davis is associate general counsel for Tempus, a precision medicine company, and previously served in roles at IBM and Spotify. At Spotify, she often partnered with technology development teams that were using an agile framework, which is how she gained an appreciation for its approach.

Tristan Boutros, Scrum Alliance CEO, says, “Jennifer is a leader who understands the complexities of digital technologies alongside the realities of intellectual property rights, cyber law, privacy law, and data protection. Her background brings an impressive and incredibly valuable cross-section of expertise in not one, but two areas, that are critical in guiding the growth of our organization as we expand our offerings. I could not be more thrilled about her joining our board and the impact she'll have.”

Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Delaware and a law degree from New York Law School. She serves on the board of Adoptive & Foster Family Coalition of New York (AFFCNY) and is a proud lifetime member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

The Scrum Alliance Board of Directors has a minimum of nine members. Of these, three are elected by Scrum Alliance members and referred to as Scrum Certified Member Directors.

Scrum Alliance’s certification process has awarded over 1.4 million certificates to date and enables professionals from the entry to executive level with career-advancing agile tools. Scrum Alliance trainers and coaches are active agile experts in teaching the agile mindset and scrum framework and to date the organization has offered over 115,000 courses to professionals around the world.
