Denver, CO — SCRUM ALLIANCE®, the largest, most established and influential professional
membership organization and certifying body in the Agile community, recently announced Pete
Behrens as its newest member on the Board of Directors.
Pete Behrens is the president of Trail Ridge Consulting, an industry leader in guiding
organizational and leadership agility through Scrum. As an Agile leadership trainer and coach,
Pete has led whole-organization agility transformations for dozens of companies, including
Salesforce.com, McKinsey & Company, and GE Healthcare. These early Agile transformations
pioneered many of the scaled Scrum patterns that are now popular in the industry.
“We are pleased and excited to have Pete join the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors. As an
active leader in Scrum Alliance for almost ten years, a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST), and
Certified Scrum Coach® (CSC), he led the formation of the CSC Program in 2007 and continues
to oversee the growing coaching community through leadership of the application review
process. Pete also guides the coaching retreats, which focus on connecting and growing that
community,” said Scrum Alliance CEO Manny Gonzalez. “The experience and knowledge Pete
brings to the group will be a wonderful complement to our board as we deliver on our mission.”
Pete Behrens said, “It is an honor for me to join the most influential Agile organization in the
world as a board member. Many exciting changes lie ahead for Scrum Alliance, including
reaching a more influential leadership community and deepening the organization’s impact on
the Agile mindset of those leaders. These are some of the changes I look forward to impacting
in the future as a board member.”
