Denver, CO, —Scrum Alliance, the largest, most established and influential professional membership organization and certifying body in the Agile community, was proud to sponsor the second annual Scrum Day Twin Cities 2014 being held at the University of Minnesota’s College of Continuing Education Conference Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Scrum Alliance Managing Director Carol McEwan said, ”We are always excited to support these types of events where Scrum is expanding its presence and Scrum Day Twin Cities is a perfect example. Last year this event quickly sold out. This year they extended the event and it also sold out. This tells us that Scrum is definitely growing in this community and there is a real need for this type of event to help bring the Scrum community together.”
One of the organizers, Angela Johnson, CST said, “We were talking about the need for some type of event that would bring people from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul together for a day of knowledge sharing, learning from each other and networking. Other area events have become marketing and sales venues. We specifically planned this event to be about learning how to do good Scrum and Agile and sharing ideas with each other rather than a marketing or sales event.”
The goal of this event is to provide a forum for people from the Twin Cities to share their experiences, stories and learning from adopting Scrum and Agile with one another. Giving attendees a place to network, connect and gain new ideas about Scrum that those attendees can readily apply back at their companies and organizations.
“We are in the business of supporting communities to truly transform the world of work. We believe this event will help transform the way that Minnesota based companies work,” McEwan said.
