Denver, CO — SCRUM ALLIANCE®, the largest, most established and influential professional membership organization and certifying body in the Agile community, today announces it is adding training courses related to the LeSS framework to its portfolio to support widespread adoption of Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS).

Scrum Alliance interim CEO Lisa Hershman said, “We believe offering these important courses will greatly assist organizations and executives searching for options for scaling Scrum. We are pleased to have these courses rolling out in the next several weeks. We understand that scaling agility is critical to Transforming the World of Work, and we are glad to be able to meet the demands of the market with these courses: Certified LeSS Basics, Certified LeSS Practitioner, and Certified LeSS for Executives. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate of completion for each one and be able to put these new skills to use in their organizations.”

Co-creator of LeSS Craig Larman said, “There’s a hunger out there for something simpler and deeper than just smearing Agile and Scrum paste on top of — or underneath — traditional management systems. This involves scaling product development by descaling the organization, by figuring out how to apply the simplicity and elegance of Scrum to many teams on one product. This is LeSS. As active supporters and trainers in Scrum Alliance since the earliest days, my friend and colleague Bas Vodde and I are delighted to join Scrum Alliance and the community of trainers and coaches to help the world of work achieve more with LeSS.”

Co-creator of LeSS Bas Vodde said, “There is a great community of trainers and coaches associated with Scrum Alliance, and we are excited about working more closely with them related to scaling Scrum and descaling organizational complexity. We hope Scrum Alliance can help us with our vision of simpler, more human organizations and we can support Scrum Alliance to transform the world of work.”

In addition to being important to the future of organizations globally, scaling agility also aids in addressing two key priorities for future Scrum Alliance growth: improving organizational design and reaching senior management.

Hershman said, “We hope to expand opportunities to influence the world of work by engaging senior management levels and engaging with organizational design, which are both central to scaling with the simplicity and principles of Scrum.”
