Denver, CO, — Scrum Alliance®, the largest, most established and influential professional membership organization and certifying body in the Agile community, today announced its 2018 Board of Directors members.

Scrum Alliance Interim CEO Lisa Hershman said, “We have numerous new initiatives coming in 2018 that we are excited to share with our global community. I am confident these new board members will help guide the organization in developing and delivering new products and services to our members in the future. I am excited to work with this group of dedicated professionals as we help Scrum Alliance continue to transform the world of work.”

The membership of Scrum Alliance elected Sohrab Salimi as the new Scrum-certified member on the board, and the two new board-elected directors are Howard Sublett and Michael Meissner. Lisa Hershman will return to the board in 2018, serving out the term of Pete Deemer, who, due to other work commitments, is stepping down after five years on the board.

Board Chair Gene Bounds said, “Scrum Alliance has experienced much growth and many exciting changes in recent years. We hope that we can continue to expand and grow the market globally for the organization, and we think these newly appointed board members will help us do just that. It is an honor to be on this board and I look forward to working with this team of committed professionals as we support the community and spread the impact and power of Scrum.”

The members of the 2018 Scrum Alliance Board of Directors are Eugene Bounds, Lisa Hershman, Pete Behrens, John Doyle, Eric Engelmann, Zuzana Sochova, Deborah Nugent, Sohrab Salimi, Michael Meissner, and Howard Sublett.

The next step for the board will be to meet in December at the annual board retreat, where members will vote on the 2018 officer positions, including Board Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. Scrum Alliance will announce those positions by the end of the year.
