Denver, CO — SCRUM ALLIANCE®, the largest, most established and influential professional membership organization and certifying body in the Agile community, recently announced Sohrab Salimi as the newest member of its Board of Directors.

As a renowned management consultant and entrepreneur based in Cologne, Germany, Sohrab is the only medical doctor and former top management consultant (Bain & Company) who is acknowledged as a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®) by Scrum Alliance. As such, he is passionate about making diagnosis for businesses and developing strategies. He loves building great products and services using Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, and getting into the trenches to transform organizations from top to bottom to be more Agile and adaptive in today’s fast-paced digital world. Sohrab currently co-leads two major transformations, one at an automotive OEM and the other at an insurance company.

Scrum Alliance Interim CEO Lisa Hershman said, “I got to know Sohrab over the past year and have come to really appreciate his perspective on many of our new initiatives and products. Sohrab has a unique global view about how our decisions impact what he and other coaches and trainers do in their work to transform the world of work. We are very excited to have Sohrab join our Board of Directors. He will be a great asset to us as we continue to expand our work to help organizations transform.”

“I look forward to working with Sohrab as we work to expand Scrum Alliance in the future as a dynamic Agile and Scrum organization globally. His input on how we can best equip trainers, coaches, and product owners to succeed as we broaden our products and services beyond the IT and software arena will help us make solid strategic decisions for all,” said Board Chair Gene Bounds.

“I’m extremely honored to be elected to the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors, because I truly believe in Scrum Alliance’s mission of transforming the world of work,” said Sohrab Salimi. “I am very much looking forward to contributing my skill set on the Board of Directors and will do my best to bring in our customers’ perspectives.”
