Bogdan Giurgiu - Biography

Graduated in 2004 the Polytechnic Institute from Cluj Napoca, Romania. Immediately after university, I have started an Internship program in the US, which turned into a full time job in the first company I worked with (Securenet Systems). My communication and organizational skill were modelled with the continuous interactions with the customers, Sales and Support teams that revolved around the Engineering Department. I worked with partners from all over the world, in delivering the best products for our customers.

I got “infected” by the Agile and Scrum virus on my return in Cluj, and I got my CSM certification in 2010.

Next important milestone was the years I have worked at Language Weaver Inc. (now part of SDL plc.). The first challenge here was to create an Agile friendly environment, were the engineering teams adopted Scrum as a methodology for delivering products. We have started with two teams and ended up with about 5 teams successfully implementing the Scrum framework.

I was part of two EU funded R&D projects (FAUST Project - http://www.faust-fp7.eu/faust/ and FLAVIUS Project - http://www.project-flavius.eu/fr/en/ ) where I had the opportunity to collaborate with the academic environment (Cambridge University, Polytechnic Institute of Catalonia, Charles University – Prague) and also the commercial one.  

My passion for Scrum has been certified again in 2013, when I got my CPS Certification, following an exam in Budapest.

In my efforts to share my passion and knowledge of Agile and Scrum, I have started the collaboration with ATU Consulting. With their support I have started to do training sessions and also coach other teams and companies, that are either unfamiliar with Scrum or they face various blocking issues in their present implementation.
