Chris Szlucha is a hands-on, seasoned veteran of IT operations. As the Executive Vice President of Professional Service for Finch Computing, Mr. Szlucha is responsible for oversight and management of all professional services engagements. Mr. Szlucha is charged with the continuous enhancement and execution of the systematic approach for large professional service engagements supporting the deployment and customization of the entire suite of Finch solutions in search, data management, data enhancement and analytics. His leadership in this area delivers tangible results and value to Qbase clients. Additionally, Mr. Szlucha is responsible for many strategic growth initiatives within the organization. Mr. Szlucha provides balanced technical and management leadership in delivering IT services and is focused on establishing trust with clients to become a truly valued partner and trusted technology advisor. He has exceptional tactical and strategic vision with expertise in developing and delivering service offerings that align technology solutions with business objectives. Before joining the Qbase team, Mr. Szlucha held progressively more challenging technical and management positions with URS (formerly Apptis), where he focused primarily of financial and regulatory agencies within the Federal government. Most recently he held the position of the Director of Enterprise Services and filled the role of Deputy Program Manager of Operations and Engineering for the Securities and Exchange Commission's Infrastructure Support Services contract. In this role, Mr. Szlucha was responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a team of more than 100 system architects, engineers, and administrators charged with the operations of the SEC's IT infrastructure. During this time, he was responsible for 150% organic growth of the contract. Previously, Mr. Szlucha has held the positions of Director of Cloud Services, Executive Account Manager, and Senior Systems Architect for Apptis, TATI, and Harrah's Casino. Mr. Szlucha studied Biomedical Engineering Technology at Pennsylvania State University. He served in the US Naval Reserve in the medical field. Mr. Szlucha has served as the Security Lead during many of the annual Avon Walks for Breast Cancer, a non-profit organization for which he is very passionate. He is an enthusiastic advocate for improving our education system, and served as the principal in charge of education technology on the development committee for the Lewis and Clark School, a formerly proposed non-profit charter school in Fairfax County.
