Dan Laffan

Dan is head of product engineering and is deputy CTO at Sonru, a video interviewing platform for enterprise scale recruiters such as airlines, governments, law enforcement, banks & financial services, global consumer brands, etc.

Dan is a Ruby on Rails / full stack engineer with many years of experience as a manager gained over two distinct careers.  Dan manages a team of 12 people at Sonru including developers, QA, product management, UX, InfoSec and dev ops.

Dan started out as a Chartered Accountant with EY, then rose through the ranks of financial accountant, financial controller, CFO / Finance Director, Operations Director, and CEO.  In the late 2000s, Dan decided to switch career and explore hsi first love, ICT, and re-train as a software engineer.
