About
Emmanuel Bréton is one of those person that have the chance to work their passion: development.
From software development to product development, to team development, Emmanuel has always been eager to build something useful for end-users, to create “real and concrete” added value.
On the technical side, he loves discussing the philosophy of python over golang, comparing rancher and openshift, seeking the best-dedicated servers for the best prices, fiddling with React.js and mobile development, and listening to the team arguing around APIs. He definitively fits in the seat of a ScrumMaster, and the team rewards him by its trust.
On the business side, he loves discussing the latest trends on the internet, he is always sharing his surprise at the capacity of some ancient-php-forums to still drain all traffic when it comes to travel. He is also interested by the different transactions and trends around startups, trying to understand why some get bought for millions and others just disappear. Emmanuel definitively has an entrepreneurship way of thinking and is able to make good use of this in his everyday job...
On the product side, he is always seeking to create value. Although sometimes, he will not go through the 5 whys to help the customers understand what they seek, most of the time, the question "what for" is enough. He will always try to understand the value that goes with the cost, whether it be in development now, or in maintenance later. For these reasons, he likes to explain that his view on Product Ownership can be defined as “CEO of one product".
Overall, Emmanuel likes to drive change. He is totally in line with the “inspect and adapt” philosophy. He wants to share his knowledge as an Agile Leader where it fits, and likes to act catalyst as much as possible wherever this philosophy can be suitable.
