Title: Partner

John is a Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) and Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) who loves seeing individuals, teams, and organisations become the best they can be. He does this using a mixture of coaching approaches embedded with the agile mindset. John spends most of his time supporting organisations to descale and become more resilient.

John is addicted to learning new things and is often found at meetups around London trying out new ideas and learning from others. His latest interest is systemic modelling (Clean Language) which he has been learning from the creator Caitlin Walker. He is proud of his military background and believes it is a crucial reason for his ongoing success.

John is pleased to have been involved in some fantastic initiatives including:

  • Agile Coaching Code of Ethics - An Agile Alliance initiative to professionalise agile coaching through creating a code of ethics
  • Agile Coaching Agreement Canvas - An "Agile Coaching Agreement Canvas" for Scrum Masters/Agile Coaches to use in the field to define agreements with their teams/clients
  • Definition of Done Canvas - A “Definition of Done Canvas” tool that Scrum teams can leverage for their empirical process control.
  • Agile Coaching with MuHinShu - Article on the concept of MuHinShu to mitigate or eliminate rank and privilege when Agile Coaching.
  • Agile Radar - A new tool that you and your team can use to better understand constructing an Agile mindset.
  • Core LeSS Game - An interactive and collaborative card sorting activity to learn the differences between “Core LeSS” or “Supportive Approaches” and what is “Not LeSS” (nothing to do with LeSS).
  • Agile Coaching Growth Wheel - is a tool for Agile Coaches and ScrumMasters to help them reflect and grow themselves on their Agile journey. This tool is also best used with another coach to help support them.
  • Agile Scoping Model - Agile scoping is the scaffolding I use to keep the client focused on the desired outcomes they are looking for.
