I have over two decades of experience working with Geographic Information Systems.  I've managed many projects over that time and have built and run programs, too.  My background is heavy on the system infrastructure side, but I have been a part of plenty of software development activities.  Of course, the mapping and cartographic data was most always at the center of my work.  In terms of context, my work has supported natural resource management, emergency management, floodplain management, archeology and cultural resources, the built environment of roads, water/wastewater systems, electrical utilities, and structures. 

Most recently, I am in a new industry, Health Insurance.  I work for a Third-Party Administrator firm, in both the data integration and the web application development areas.  I serve as the Scrum Master for two integration teams at the middle-ware level.  We are building processes and tools in the IBM Sterling File Gatway Suite after converting from an array of legacy systems.  One team is responsible for the batch-file processing, and the other team handles the real-time transfers and the API development.
