Kevin McLaughlin I am currently an Agile Product Owner for a custom web application at Applied Materials. I have managed the entire software development life-cycle to grow the application from a small proof-of-concept to an enterprise-wide software solution with thousands of daily users. The application has returned over two million dollars in value to the company in its first two years of operation by increasing manufacturing efficiency and quality. To accomplish such rapid growth, I implemented the company’s first modern Agile development process to replace outdated waterfall practices. I continue to work with the developers and stakeholders to increase the application’s scalability and design new features to solve high priority problems. Outside of Applied Materials, I programmed a unique algorithm in Python to help borrowers create a payoff plan for their student loans and used Django and javascript to build the non-profit site mystudentloanplanner.org to host the algorithm.
