Luke Hohmann
About
Luke Hohmann is the Founder and CEO of Conteneo, Inc. (formerly, The Innovation Games® Company). We believe that collaborating teams are the world’s best hope for solving the problems we face and that the right frameworks dramatically improve collaboration outcomes. And we're not alone in this belief: millions of people from around the world, from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises, governments and NGOs use collaborative frameworks (like Scrum and Innovation Games®) to solve their enduring problems: identifying unmet needs, developing and aligning on strategic choices, creating compelling offerings, and improving delivery processes. We support multidimensional collaboration (online and in-person, single team and multi-team, internal and external stakeholders) through software, training, production and facilitation services. Conteneo's brands include Innovation Games®, Knowsy®, Common Ground for Action and Trilicious. I am also the co-founder of Every Voice Engaged Foundation, a 501 3(c) nonprofit that that helps citizens, governments and nonprofit organizations collaboratively solve problems that are unsolvable without civic engagement. EVEF has been a leader in the Participatory Budgeting movement, helping citizens prioritize hundreds of millions of dollars through Budget Games. Conteneo and EVEF have collaborated with The Kettering Foundation to create Common Ground for Action, the world's first platform for scalable Deliberative Decision Making focused on wicked problems. I have a proven track record of service to the Agile and Scrum Community. I served on the organizing committee of the first Agile conference with Alistair Cockburn and Ken Schwaber. I have served on the Board of the Agile Alliance and have provided consulting services to the Scrum Alliance. I have helped dozens of organizations improve their Agility and regularly share my insights though speaking engagements, books, articles and blog posts. I am known as a dynamic, hands-on educator who was teaching without PowerPoint slides years before teaching without PowerPoint slides was considered cool. I strive to be a good father and husband, a trusted confidant to my clients and someone who isn't afraid to tackle seemingly intractable problems. Conteneo partners with progressive people, teams and organizations around the world through our Certified Collaboration Instructor and Certified Collaboration Architect programs.
