Title: Agile/Scrum Coach

I'm an experienced agile coach working with organisational leaders as well as operative teams to introduce sustainable change.

Deep down, many leaders would like their organisations to stay fixed, changing only when needed and as directed. In reality, organisations are constantly bubbling with small change opportunities — people read books, talk to colleagues and friends, pick up ideas — and this energy can be directed and aligned with the company strategy. By introducing structured change methods and flow-oriented thinking models, I help organisations understand and work with constant change. The outcome is a more agile, more resilient organisation where employees can get the right things done in the right way, with less friction and fuss.

But what does "agile" mean? If you think that one of the Big Agile Models is right for you, think again! Every organisation needs time to figure out what "agile" means for themselves. This can include deploying or improving how the organisation uses Scrum, Kanban, servant leadership, portfolio management, value streams, self-organisation, continuous delivery — or something completely different.

Since organisations are complex entities, organisational change needs to be handled using complex management methods. I first make the situation transparent, assessing the company and visualising the culture through SenseMaker-based surveys, interviews and workshops. Together with leaders and a representative cross-section of employees, we inspect the situation to create insights and understand the pain points. We can then start to adapt by brainstorming solution proposals and deploying them — some proposals are straightforward and can be deployed directly, but some require a bit of probing and experimentation. Throughout the process, I teach the organisation the skills and practices they need to keep the continuous improvement process going after I'm gone.

Currently working for agile42 in Finland and Northern Europe, I have a wide experience from multiple industries, including more than 12 000 coaching hours and more than 1 500 training hours. I'm co-author of the agile42 book "The Hitchhiker's Guide to Agile Coaching".
