Natalie Barnes

Natalie Barnes has spent the last two decades in the digital and IT space. She began her career in user interface design and grew into managing web development projects. During the last 7 years, she has worked extensively in agile as a scrum master.  Natalie is a certified agile practitioner (PMI-ACP), and scrum professional (CSP- SM).  She is also certified in Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) Basics, and has leveraged other scaled agile frameworks such as Scrum@Scale, and Scrum of Scrums.  

Natalie’s recent efforts include leading the agile transformation of her current healthcare company in IT. She has trained and mentored teams and individuals within her department and throughout her division in foundations of agile using scrum and Kanban. She is an effective leader of agile teams through training and coaching of agile methodologies and practices. Her approach includes the 5 levels of planning from strategizing with management on roadmaps to facilitating scrum events with a focus on continuous improvement.

A passion for developing agile teams, Natalie enjoys fostering collaboration and empowering self-managing teams. She helps teams realize their best work by encouraging experimenting with agile practices to progressively evolve their agile maturity -- being agile, not just doing agile. She brings a positive attitude when dealing with challenges and guides teams to maneuver through tough obstacles.  

In addition, Natalie is a Project Management Professional (PMP), holds a Computer Information Systems certificate and has a Master’s of Business Administration in Technology Management.
