About
1990 I finished school in Munich Germany
1998 I got my degree (german diplom) in theoretical physics at the Lugwig Maximilians University in Munich
Since 1998 I have been working in the software business. My first stop was an internet startup called Twest.com.
From 2000 on I worked at jambit - a Munich based software services company. I got to know lots of different software projects and organizations from several different perspectives. First java developer, later architect, project manager, and since 2009 as manager heading a group 15 developers. In this role I introduced Scrum along with both technical and cultural agile practices in as many teams as possible. Some clients allowed us to go quite far in agility while others were more limiting.
Since 2008 - where I first encountered Scrum at Sueddeutsche.de - Scrum has not let go of me anymore. I am a true lover of Scrum and Agility and have made every effort to get real Scrum into all my projects, environments & organizations I interacted with.
Supplementing my focus on Scrum & Agility I participated in a series of trainings based on Non Violent Communication (NVC). This included a 10 day basic NVC training, a 15 day Coaching education as well as a 10 day training in group-moderation based on NVC methods. In recent years my focus is shifting towards facilitation and methods to express NVC-values in a group or team setting. I'm also active in the Munich Management 3.0 community, since I received the original M3.0 training from Jurgen Appelo in 2013
Since 2014 I have focussed purely on the ScrumMaster role. In the first year I acted as ScrumMaster in two projects at jambit GmbH. Here I also gave a recurring course for all new entries to the company on "Agile Project Management"
In March 2015 I joined HolidayCheck as Scrum Master for two internal product development teams. In this role I coached 3 truly agile teams to higher & higher levels of performance, motivation & agility
In late 2016 I joined Glomex - a subsidiary of Pro7/Sat1 as Agile Coach working both at the organizational and team levels promoting the organization development towards agility & intrinsic motivation
Since September 2017 I work as freelance Agile Coach
Since 2017 I've also been conducting a series of trainings for scrum masters and product owners inside a large german industry corporation.
Since May 2022 I work for improuv GmbH as a Senior Agile Coach.
