Raúl Herranz is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and Senior Agile Coach with over two decades of experience in Agile methodologies. His journey with Scrum began in 2004 during a project for the regional government of Asturias, Spain, following several years as an IT developer utilizing traditional methodologies. Since then, Raúl has been instrumental in implementing Scrum across various organizations, leading projects and product development with an Agile mindset.
In 2011, Raúl transitioned into roles as an Agile Trainer and Coach, dedicating himself to guiding teams and companies in embracing Agile values and principles. He has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, including ScrumDays, CAS, AOS, and Scrum Alliance Global Gatherings, where he has organized, presented, and facilitated various sessions.
Beyond his training and coaching endeavors, Raúl is recognized as Doctor Scrum, specializing in diagnosing and addressing common challenges in Scrum adoption. Through his consultancy, he offers tailored solutions to optimize processes and enhance team efficiency. Residing in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain), Raúl collaborates with organizations worldwide, focusing on building high-performance teams that prioritize communication, transparency, and the significance of individuals in the knowledge industry.
In his training sessions, Raúl designs and delivers highly acclaimed courses on Agile topics, ranging from Scrum and Agile practices for developers to specialized workshops and talks on various Agile subjects. His practical approach is supported by extensive real-world project experience and a multitude of Agile certifications, including CSM, CSPO, CSD, CSP, and CST from the Scrum Alliance, PMI-ACP from the Project Management Institute, and PSM I and PSPO I from Scrum.org, among others.
