Steven Hutchison

Dr. Steven J. Hutchison is a retired Army officer who has been in the defense and homeland security Test and Evaluation (T&E) community since 1998. He is a member of the Senior Executive Service, and serves as the Director of Test and Evaluation in the Department of Homeland Security.
Dr Hutchison's previous positions included Principal Deputy to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Developmental Test and Evaluation, Test and Evaluation Executive of the Defense Information Systems Agency, and he has held assignments with the OSD Director, Operational Test and Evaluation, and US Army Test and Evaluation Command.
Dr. Hutchison earned a PhD in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, a Master of Science in Operations Research at the Naval Postgraduate School, and is a 1982 graduate of the United States Military Academy.
