About Your Trainer

Dot (Dorothy) is an experienced, friendly and knowledgeable Agile trainer and coach. She is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), and a qualified and experienced facilitator and mentor. She is also an experienced Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) in addition to being a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). She is a Certified Agile Project Management Trainer, Agile Business Analysis Trainer. SAFe Program Consultant, DSDM Trainer, APLN Certified Agile Leadership Advanced Practitioner, Prince2 Practitioner and ITIL Service Manager. She has been active in the Agile community since the 1990s and instrumental in the development of methods and certifications worldwide.

Winner of 'Best Agile Coach / Mentor' at the UK Agile Awards, she has written several books and is a recognised conference speaker nationally and internationally.  She is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Certified IT Professional.

Dot has in-depth industry experience, working across all industry sectors with customers from small enterprises to large banks; from computer games companies to insurance companies and government organisations.

To obtain your CSM certification, you must take the multiple choice, online Scrum Alliance CSM Exam (a link to the test will be sent to you following your course). To pass, you need to score at least 24 marks out of 35 questions.

For PMI PMPs, this course provides 14 Category B PDUs. This course also provides 14 Category B Scrum Alliance Education Units (SEUs) towards Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMP, PMI-ACP and other certifications.

This course is designed for those looking to fulfil the role of ScrumMaster.  It will also benefit those who will be involved in any of the Scrum Roles, including anyone working as part of a development team - developers, testers, designers, business analysts, project managers, architects etc.  The course is also suitable for those involved in transitioning to Scrum within their own organisation.

Course Pre-requisites

Our Certified ScrumMaster course requires no specialised IT technical knowledge, as Scrum may be used in many situations in additional to those introducing IT change.  However, prior to attending the course, students should familiarise themselves with key Scrum terms and definitions, as described in the official Scrum Guide. An online, as well as downloadable pdf version, of the official Scrum Guide is available as pre-reading. This is also available as an Audio version.
