Ivan Biddles is a CSM and CSD with over 30 years experience as a dedicated, detail-oriented technology leader with mastery managing projects and teams as well as hands-on implementation of the latest technologies for web and mobile application development on diverse platforms.

He has successfully utilized and implemented Agile and Scrum methodologies during his many years of experience at the CTO/VP/Director level as well as in Software, Solutions and Enterprise Architecture, and hands-on design and development.

He used many of the agile concepts – such as self-organized, dedicated teams; test-driven and incremental development; and short, releasable cycles (sprints) – in the late 80s and early 90s, even before those concepts were formalized.

Sherman is the CEO and founder of Scrum Adventures. He brings over 25 years experience as a Coach and Trainer in Scrum, Agile and Project Management. Sherman is passionate about training, and has helped many students become trainers themselves.

Sherman has obtained his CTC, CSM, A-CSM, CSP-SM, CSPO, CSP-PO, CSD, A-CSD, CSD-P, S@S, LeSS, TBR, ICP-ACC, REP, Scrum Foundations Educator, and Certified Scrum Developer Educator.

Certified Scrum Developer® class contains a good balance of theory and practice. We go through the core of Agile and Scrum principles, looking at Scrum from a Developer point of view and simulate a working product using Agile, Scrum, and technical practices.

Lean, Agile, Scrum - from the Scrum Developer perspective
Collaboration & Team Dynamics - working as a team, including the customer, pair and mob programming
Architecture and Design - principles, practices and patterns for an Agile environment
Test-Driven Development (TDD) - as a design approach, the red-green-refactor cycle, qualities of a good test, and measuring test effectiveness
Refactoring - when to refactor, refactoring for maintainability, refactoring to patterns
Continuous Integration - single-command builds, build automation, single source repository, automated deployment, continuous delivery
Extreme Programming (XP) - how to embrace change

Those seeking certification as a Scrum Developer. This course is fully approved by Scrum Alliance as the Certified Scrum Developer® certification. The coursework was engaging and informative. We had a lot of opportunity for team collaboration to implement and reinforce what we were learning.

Great course taught by very knowledgeable instructors. They incorporated a lot of activities that allowed us to practice the skills that we learned from the course.

Sheman is a great instructor, the course material is very detailed and there is a lot of small group activities for us to engage in learning.

The CSD course is a great one to take if you want to learn how agile / scrum works. Instructor Sherman did a great job teaching, guiding and interacting with participants. The hands-on lab is a wonderful way to to put theory into practice and the Scratch language is a fun to learn and use.
