Building a product with a new process can be a daunting prospect. Being asked to serve as the team’s Product Owner can be downright intimidating. You’ve got an idea of what Scrum is, and have read a few articles or books on the topic, but you really don’t know how to start putting that theory into action.

That’s where the Certified Scrum Product Owner program comes in. The CSPO course gives you just enough information to understand how Scrum works, but focuses mainly on functioning as the product owner, or customer, for a Scrum team. You will learn about activities such as managing stakeholders, ROI, backlog grooming, creating effective stories, acceptance criteria for stories, defining done, and so on.

Amazing class and instructor. I learned so much and got a significant increase in my skill set

The instructor was knowledgeable and had a lot of hands on experience to educate us about in addition to the training material. The exercises were interesting and helped learn the concepts better.

Rod was very knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. This course was more basic than I was expecting, but it is a great course for someone new to Agile & Scrum processes from a PO point of view. I would have liked to see less personal examples from Rod and ourselves (although at times very helpful to understand some of the concepts) and continued with either a real or fake example. The most enjoyable part for me was working on the product vision and story mapping, and it would have been great to role play the rest of the processes from a PO point of view.

The material was organized and explained very well.

We had a very experienced trainer and a great variety of diverse participants. Totally as I hoped it would be.

For me it was the first touchpoint with the CSPO.I am happy with what I learned.

I really liked the flexibility of this course. It worked well with busy scheduling, and the expectations were clear and upfront. The in class assignments were great and always enough time for Q&A.
