You want to grow your expertise in product management and Scrum.

You are a Product Owner/Product Manager and want to learn how to work with a Scrum team.

You are thinking about how to move from traditional project management to Scrum/Agile product management.

You have tried to run some Sprints, prioritize your backlog, create a roadmap, or measure outcomes, but something is not working and you know there must be a better way of doing things.

You want to learn how to adopt the right practices to build the right product and deliver value to your customers.

And, you want to earn the CSPO certification to demonstrate your Scrum and Product Ownership mastery, and grow in your career.

This is not a virtual class

This class is in-person: We'll work together on a product idea and we will do hands-on activities.

With my CSPO class you get all of this plus:

You learn actionable techniques to plan, drive, and execute work with your Scrum team.

You can start improving from day 1: you get resources and class materials as soon as you register.

You get your certification right after class

Product ownership goes beyond Scrum: My class is 1/3 Scrum theory + 2/3 Product Management expertise.

Max class size: Limited to 12 students for focused attention with the instructor and more air-time for questions and discussions.

Course length: 2 full days.

You also get:

BONUS: You get templates and frameworks that you can use after class in your real job.

BONUS: You get 1-on-1 coaching to support you in your adption of Scrum, check your practices, and improve how you deliver results. All in the first month after class.

BONUS: You get access to my Truly Scrum community with additional resources, mini-courses, and a community of Product Owenrs and Agile Coaches that can support you in your journey.

This is not for you if

This class is not for you if you are just seeking a quick and cheap way to get the CSPO certification: I focus on real learning and effective practices, beyond the certification.

This class is also not for you if you expect to sit back, relax, and fall asleep while listening to an endless Powerpoint presentation: My class is about learning by doing, not passive assimilation of concepts. We make it fun and interactive, and in the process you learn how to be a good Product Owner.

More about my Product Owner class

This Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO certification) class teaches how to become an effective Product Owner and apply product management techniques to any project. The class is approved by the Scrum Alliance and covers all the learning objectives for the CSPO certification. Participants also learn in-depth practices and frameworks that Product Owners use to effectively build great products with a Scrum team.

All my classes have a mix of theory and practice. I want you to leave the class with both the knowledge and the experience needed to be an effective Product Owner. That's why in each module you spend a bit of time learning the key concepts and theory, and then you apply what you learned to a real-life product idea. We use a product simulation throughout the class to practice acting as a Product Owner and making decisions on your product. While you do that, you also receive coaching on how to use the frameworks, and how to improve.

The class is divided in 2 sprints, so you also practice running a sprint and doing the various activities for Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective. We use Burn-up charts to track the progress of the work toward completing the class. And we use velocity and estimation in story points to plan each sprint.

Why choose this class?

Choose this class if you want to learn Product Management practices to be effective as a Product Owner at delivering a solution to your customers while working with a Scrum team.

The class is in-person and is based on interactive exercises, simulations, and practice.  The format of this course is not the traditional college-based lecture with 400 slides where you fall asleep. Instead, it is based on modern adult instructional methods to facilitate learning, create a fun and productive environment, and maturate a deeper understanding of the concepts.

Max class size: Limited number of 12 students for focused attention with the instructor and more air-time for questions and discussions.

Also, with my coaching sessions (one included in the registration) I can help you implement what you learn, become an effective Product Owner, and grow in your career.

Finally, I believe that learning is not limited to a class, so you get access to the Truly Scrum community with additional content and mini-courses to keep learning and refining your expertise.
