Certified Scrum Master - Certification

Having attended a 2-Day CSM training course you are then required to pass the online, multiple-choice exam that is set and administered by the Scrum Alliance. The entrance fee for this exam is included in the overall course fee.

Completion of the course also means 2 years of membership of the Scrum Alliance, also included, which brings access to exclusive member-only information, resources and material. Please also see the Scrum Alliance Certification Requirements

Certification Renewal

Your certification will be active for a 2-year period, at that time you will be asked to follow the Scrum Alliance renewal process.

To renew the certification, individuals must achieve and record 20 SEUs (Scrum Education Units) and pay a renewal fee. 

Professional Development Units (PDUs)

The course earns you 14 PDUs (Category A) within the PMI. PDUs can be used toward PMP, PMI-ACP and other certifications

Managing and refining the product backlog is covered, including techniques for writing user stories and estimating effort. The concept of working in Sprints is introduced, highlighting the reasons behind this approach and how Sprints operate. The contents of a Sprint and the importance of defining the Definition of Done are also discussed.

The course introduces Scrum events and includes a simulation to provide participants with a practical understanding of conducting Sprint planning, Sprint reviews, and Sprint retrospectives. Participants gain hands-on experience through the simulation and learn how to run effective Daily Scrums.
