**Important** - To qualify for your certification you will need to be available for the live discussion classes, as well as have enough time to work your way through the self-study videos and exercises.

Live class attendance via Zoom

During these sessions, there will be live discussions and group exercises facilitated by your instructor via Zoom. Zoom is an easy to use online meeting and video conferencing software and you’ll receive full instructions about how to join your online class after you register.

Self-Study

Before each live class, you will receive some pre-recorded videos and exercises prepared by Brian Milner, Senior Vice President of Training and Coaching with Mountain Goat Software and is a Certified Scrum Trainer; to watch for that specific class. You will need to watch those videos and exercises before you attend the live class so you are prepared to discuss them.

Who should attend

To take this course, you should already have your Certified Product Owner certification as well as experience working as a Product Owner. This will give you the best level of knowledge to participate well and benefit most from the techniques you’ll learn.

To get your A-CSPO certification, you must have the following 3 requirements:

An active CSPO certification
12 months of demonstrated Product Owner experience within the past 5 years
Participation and completion of the A-CSPO course

You don’t need 12 months of experience to take this class, as long as you have 12 months of experience by the time you apply to the Scrum Alliance for your certification.

Collaboration tools are nice, speaker/teacher is well prepared and with vast knowledge, but I saw repetitive topics between CSPO and A-CSPO. Also the majority of exercises are done based on a fake product and somehow it doesnt motivates people to bring good ideas or good discussions. My though is that we should focus the Advance program to have more insightful discussions based on personal experiences from audience and teacher. I know this is challenging specially because course success will depend on participation and good topic's discussions, but who doesnt like challenges??..

Privileged to have participated in another one of Brian's courses through Mountain Goat Software. The experience was similar to A-CSM, but unique in its own way. The shared ideas, tools, discussions, and additional practice with my classmates cannot be replicated in the work environment alone. I highly recommend this organization. MGS gives a free year subscription to their active, helpful, and friendly Agile Mentors Community when you take one of their classes. You also have direct access to Brian and Mike Cohn for open Q&A sessions.
