I really appreciated the foundational information mixed in with exercises. Lots of great tools shared and real life experiences to help the material stick. Valuable course for a product owner or someone trying to understand product owner role! Definitely would take a course from Mark again.

"Mark is an awesome instructor... definitely the Yoda of the Scrum universe." - Ting-Yu Lin
At work have you ever felt...
unable to say 'no' to a stakeholder?
pressured to deliver more products, faster?
questioned about your prioritization?
like everything is supposed to be number #1? (With each Stakeholder having a different #1.)
that the team isn't moving in the same direction as each other, let alone you?
like you're inflicting a feature factory on your team?
that your team never builds the products you asked for?
that management doesn't care (or, worse, doesn't trust you)?
The Scrum Guide, the canon law of Scrum, doesn't offer much useful information about product ownership. That can be freeing, because you're unconstrained, but also stressful if you're wondering "What should I be doing right now?"
The problem isn't you or your team.
Sure, it might be your stakeholders :-), but it's more likely the system you're trying to work within. Traditional self-study doesn't help because everyone claims that their approach will solve all your problems, all of the time. But most courses don't give you sources or anything with clear steps or evidence of results. You read about Lean Startup, Lean UX, Discovery, Product Vision, and all kinds of Maps and User Stories, but it's confusing and you're starting to question cost of training vs benefits.
Be picky about your training, because you're working with real people in the real world, not a theoretical one. In real life, there's egos, deadlines, competition, pressure... a whole host of problems that aren't mentioned in most training material. Fixing the problems - and the system that created them - isn't easy, so you need skills as well as a plan to help find your own unique path through the mess.
Well beyond the theory offered by many trainers, you need an actual plan to succeed. A strategy for things like how to deal with the militant JIRA fanatics. An understanding of why traditional roadmaps fail and what is more effective. Methods to gather input and feedback from stakeholders in a constructive manner while managing their expectations. How to refine technical backlog items. You know... the guts of being a Product Owner in real life, not just on paper.
"Came back to take my CSPO specifically with Mark for a reason. Amazing instructor." ~ Daniel LeGrand
"As a self-employed business owner with a small team, this course was helpful in understanding how to improve my company's value to clients." - Murtada Shah
Discount training gets you discount results.
You can sit through boring PowerPoint and get your Product Owner certification from a trainer who has never built a real product, never spent time on useless features, and who abandons you once the course is over, OR ...
... you can discover for yourself why Mark Levison is considered an Agile and Scrum pioneer, and "the one to learn from" in Canada. He invests in your success and provides ongoing support and resources, above and beyond the Product Owner certification training.
"Whether you have 0 days or 10 years of product owner experience you're guaranteed to learn a lot from this course." ~ Luke Natvig
"Mark is a wonderful, energetic instructor who helps you to evaluate how you are working in your own environment. Then he helps you to figure out how to improve it." ~ Shelly Carter
"Mark is the real s**t. He's lived through the pain points and knows where the bodies are buried." - Christian Farley
Learn how to make your Products (and work) suck less
Let's be real, that's why many people wonder about Scrum in the first place, in the hopes that it will solve all the problems that... well... suck.
Are you look for low-cost CSPO training?
If cheap certification is all you want, you're in the wrong place. Any Scrum trainer can hit all the learning objectives and get you certified at bargain basement prices, but a digital badge isn't going to actually help you. Discount training won't take away that fear of not knowing how to handle an angry customer banging at your door. For that, you want to learn from an Agile and Scrum expert so you understand how to survive as a Product Owner, every working day. There's no point spending money and time on Certified Scrum Product Owner training if you walk away and still don't have a clear plan on how to fulfill your role, especially as you hit snags. (Is that a stakeholder asking for a new product feature delivered tomorrow?) Mark is different as a professional Scrum and Agile instructor, and the preferred choice of many major organizations and industries including government, software, banking, finance and education, to name only a few.

While other trainers may offer an agenda, that isn’t our style. We believe in Scrum, so we run each workshop using Scrum principles to give you immediate hands-on experience. Instead of an agenda, we use a Product Backlog of all the topics needed to meet all certification requirements, plus so very much more. Then just like in real Scrum, attendees work as a team with Mark to make choices about what gets added, reordered, etc.
The Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) course centers on Product Ownership in Scrum and the role of the Product Owner. There is a real focus on how to make Product Ownership a collaborative effort with your development team.
The CSPO gets people who want to understand how to build, manage, and maintain an effective product backlog and/or work with the Product Owner to do so (e.g. ScrumMasters, Business Analysts), and professionals looking for better ways to foster collaboration.
Some things include: how to create an effective vision and strategy, why the PO shouldn't be the one to write User Stories, how to help the team split large User Stories into manageable- sized chunks, how to help the team focus on delivering a useable product every sprint.
