What is a ScrumMaster?

The ScrumMaster plays a pivotal role in the Scrum team, ensuring that the team are effective in their use of Scrum, removing impediments and protecting the team from outside interruptions to allow them to focus on delivering great product.  The ScrumMaster also works across the organisation to promote awareness of how the team are working and to foster cross-functional collaborative working.

The Training Approach

The Certified ScrumMaster training course uses Scrum to teach Scrum and provides a stimulating, experiential learning experience through the use of game play, hands on practical exercises, real life case studies and in depth discussions of the various parts of the Scrum framework and how the parts fit together.  On completing the course, candidates are invited to take a short exam which, after passing; they will be designated as a Certified ScrumMaster by the Scrum Alliance.  Candidates will then also become members of the Scrum Alliance and can work towards achieving the higher level Certified Scrum Professional designation.

What others say about Iain’s training

“Great! I got exactly what I wanted out of it.  It’s been a great 2 days with a fantastic trainer.  I’d do another course with Iain if given the chance”  JM

“I couldn’t imagine a better training in Scrum that Iain did in Bratislava this summer.  His explanations of Scrum and general agile practices were excellent and he could back them up with an amazing list of real-world experiences.  He could answer any question with a story of how it can go wrong and how to do it right” Adam Sandor

“We had been exposed to Scrum practices in our company so did not expect to take much from the course.  The content and training approach was very effective.  The hands on class assignments were relevant and insightful.  During the course, the practices we used and what actually should be done became clear.  McKenna’s excellent grasp of Scrum concepts was rubbing off on us.  What really amazed me was McKenna’s knowledge and experience using Scrum.  His knowledge of software practices and project management also was a great insight for us.  Grateful Student”  Vilva Ponnasamy

“Thank you very much for your training which was way above what I was expecting; dynamic, knowledgeable and practical!”  Guillam Durand
