Personal: I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (a Yooper), spent some years in Missouri, and moved to Ames, IA years ago to be closer to extended family.  My wife, Kate, a lovely Irish-looking lady, grew up in Alaska and Texas.  We have a boy and a girl.  Outside of family, business, and technology, I enjoy spending time playing tennis, reading, cooking, and woodworking.  I used to do a lot of martial arts, and I hope to get back into it again, particularly if the kids show interest.
