Jim Schiel

Jim Schiel is a CST with a strong background in enterprise level Scrum installations. His first book, Enterprise Scale Agile Software Development, was published in November 2009 by CRC Press. His second book, The ScrumMaster Study Guide, was published in December 2011. Jim has worked in information technology, first as an architect (6 years) and then as a manager in various R&D related capacities for 17 years both for a very large, global corporation. After having led a transformation to Agile development that involved over 100 Scrum teams and 1400 developers, Jim started his own business to continue to do what he loves -- teach, coach, and consult -- in other words, help people learn how to get more done and have more fun doing it. As a developer, Jim brings the technical aptitude to his training that helps him relate to the more technical difficulties that his students bring to the class. As a manager, Jim can also relate to management issues like budgeting, training, performance management, planning, and scheduling.
