About
My main aim is to help teams and companies deliver value through the effective use of appropriate Agile Methodologies, primarily (but not exclusively) Scrum and Kanban. I am a Certified Scrum Master and Product Owner with a technical background in C++ Vehicle Dynamics Simulation and Analysis for Formula 1 racing, and I have over 20 years’ experience building teams and delivering both software and hardware projects across a range of industries.
My role has encompassed writing code, leading teams of engineers and developers, software project management, large project development (Driver-in-the-Loop simulator specification, implementation and support), managing technical relationships with external partners, leading cross-functional project teams and programme management and latterly as a Scrum Master and Product Owner involved in web based and hardware applications.
For some of the earlier projects I used a waterfall approach to project planning and implementation using Microsoft Project, but a few years ago began to recognise the benefits of moving to an Agile approach to development and, having experienced the transition first hand, am now keen to help others on the same journey. I have experience of introducing methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban to improve the way projects are run, balance the requirements between product development and support and provide greater empowerment and involvement for team members. I also try to ensure good communications both within the team and with key stakeholders, as I believe this is vital to delivering successful projects.
