In a previous life I worked in Science but switched careers to become a software developer in a company called Aquila heywood. Eventually I became a team leader and had read some stuff on Agile and tried to bring some of the methodology in but the company wasn't keen at the time.

After a change in management, we went through an Agile transformation. I did my CSM and became a Scrum Master in 2016. I was part of the six month pathfinder project which the rest of the company joined. I was SMing for three teams at that time.

Whilst still Scrum mastering I moved into Agile coaching other parts of the business, and helping departments with transformations. In that time I gained my A-CSM and CSP-SM with the Scrum Alliance.

In the past three years I have been an Agile Coach and have become a Certified Scrum Trainer with the Scrum Alliance. As part of this journey I have conducted over a hundred courses and have interacted with such companies as the BBC, British Airways, Aon, Accenture and Fidelity.

My advantage is training people in Scrum is I understand the alternatives. I have worked in multiple industries like retail, construction and software development in several sectors. In my pre-Agile life I worked in several waterfall style systems with conventional project management and hence I can understand and explain how to transition between these fields.
