Manoj Vadakkan

Manoj Vadakkan is a seasoned management consultant specializing in enhancing team and organizational performance. He began his career as a software developer, holding a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Computer Applications. Over the years, his focus has shifted towards team leadership and organizational management, where he has established himself as an expert in coaching both teams and entire organizations to achieve better results. Manoj Vadakkan stands at the forefront of Agile and AI innovation. He helps his clients enhance product development with AI technologies and machine learning, driving transformative solutions.

Manoj Vadakkan is an Expert in Scrum. He has been practicing Iterative and Incremental Product Development for 25+ years. He has been a Certified Scrum Trainer® with Scrum Alliance for 10+ years. He is also a Certified LeSS Practitioner. He has been working with clients large and small for nearly 30 years. His work experience includes various industries such as Telecommunications, Insurance, Bank, and Media. In addition, he has worked with various government agencies including The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, The Census Bureau, The US Navy, The Veterans Affairs, and The US Postal Services. 

Manoj Vadakkan is also certified as a Project Management Professional from Project Management Institute (PMI). Manoj has more than a decade of experience working as a Project Manager before moving to the field of Scrum. With his Certified Scrum Master (CSM) workshop/training program, Manoj helps project managers to learn and the Scrum way of working. He also coaches them with practical tips to help transform their organization to the Scrum way of working.

Manoj founded Northern Star Consulting ( also known as Do You Scrum?) and has been providing training, coaching, and consulting services all over the world. His training sessions are experiential work-shops where learners learn from meaningful activities and discussions rather than from long-winded lectures and PowerPoint slide presentations.

Manoj lives in Denver, Colorado can be spotted at many Colorado Agile community events. Until 2014, he lived in the Washington DC Metro and engaged in the local agile community. He also co-founded Agile DC, the premier DC-area Agile conference, a yearly conference attended by 500+ people.
