Working with Stakeholders

Examination of how to work with anyone who has a legitimate interest in the Product, Process or Team. The collection Stakeholders ranges from Key Sponsors, SME, Regulatory Authorities, Users, End User Buyer and more.

Scaling Product Ownership

The changes in Structure and Governance that enable successful growth (or reduction) of production. In general, the increase or decrease in one or more dimensions of an organization in order to improve success often examined as multiple teams.

Advanced Purpose and Strategy

How assessments are carried about looking at how these systems are responding to the demands that have been made of them, and how any decisions to carry out improvements across our systems, have impacted customer satisfaction.

Empathizing with Customers and Users

Exploring the Customer Journey experience and how it can be studied in robust and reliable ways to provide greater end to end visibility. With great visibility the journey can be tweaked and studied.

Advanced Product Assumption Validation

Validation is assuring that a Result (Capability) is fit for use; that it does what it needs to do.Verification is assuring that something has met its specification; that it does as it was intended to do. Typically, the harder challenge is understanding and validating product assumptions.

Advanced Techniques for Working with the Product Backlog

In between putting an Item on the Backlog and deciding to do it is Backlog Maintenance, which consists of activities that order the Backlog and turn Backlog Items into Ready Stories: small, well-defined and ready to take to Planning. Activities of Backlog Refinement fall into two basic categories: prioritizing the Items (moving them up the Backlog into the Back Burner), and preparing the Items in the Back Burner for Planning – making Stories Ready. We will explore facets of backlog refinement and maintenance and how to keep them from becoming a ‘big hairy mess’. Clean backlogs are easier to order and value.

This course is for those with agile experience, and specifically for those that have their Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO), from the Scrum Alliance.
