Requirements:

  • Hold a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance (your CSPO can be active or expired. It will renew automatically when you earn the A-CSPO)
  • Validate at least 12 months of work experience specific to the product owner accountability within the past five years
  • Attend an A-CSPO course delivered by a Scrum Alliance-approved education provider
  • Complete all components of the A-CSPO course successfully, which may include pre-course or post-course work as required by the educator
  • Accept the A-CSPO license agreement and complete your membership profile on the Scrum Alliance website
  • Maintain your A-CSPO by earning Scrum Education Units and renewing your certification every two years

The Learning Objectives for the A-CSPO take the following into consideration: 

  • Every implementation of Scrum is different.
  • Teams and organizations apply Scrum within their context, but the fundamental framework always remains the same.

The A-CSPO Learning Objectives fall into the following categories:
